• I have so enjoyed the cookbook. So many of my own families recipes or ones similiar. What I most enjoyed was the recipes were placed in seasons. The memories she would tell about each season were so familiar to me. I came from an Italian family also and so many of our experiences are the same. Love it and love all the recipes. Getting daughter and 2nd. daughter one to carry on our family traditions. Some of the recipes may need a little tweaking to fit our ingredients otherwise it is perfect.

• I've had this book since it first came out - a signed copy. You can tell it is used because it is falling apart! I'm not much of a cook so haven't tried a great number of recipes but wanted to say that the "Melt in Your Mouth Meatballs" are the best I've ever had. I've had many compliments on them and someone always asks for the recipe. I use ground round, seasoned Italian bread crumbs, and leave out the onion for my kids. They are great plain or in sauce, plus I've frozen them ahead of time. I'm writing this review because a friend just asked me for the recipe (had them at a football tailgate) and I looked to see if the book happened to still be available.
